AC and heating repair in Anderson
Anderson’s summers are as hot as Redding’s, so an air conditioner that quits in July can’t wait. Our NATE-certified technicians work on every brand and style of system. We review your options and pricing before work starts, use quality replacement parts and fix most problems on the first visit. In winter we handle heating repairs for gas furnaces, heat pumps and the controls that run them.
Cooling on PG&E time-of-use rates
Unlike Redding and Shasta Lake, which run their own city utilities, Anderson is PG&E territory. On PG&E’s E-TOU-C time-of-use plan, power costs the most from 4 to 9 p.m. every day, right when Anderson is hottest. A few changes make a real difference to the bill:
- A smart thermostat that pre-cools the house before 4 p.m. and coasts through the peak
- A variable-speed AC or heat pump that runs longer at low power instead of cycling hard
- Sealed, insulated ducts, because ducts in a hot attic lose cooling before it reaches the rooms
The REU and City of Shasta Lake rebates don’t apply in Anderson, so check PG&E’s current offers before buying a new system.
Commercial HVAC and custom sheet metal
Anderson has shops, offices and light industry, and Sierra Pacific Industries is headquartered here. We install and service commercial systems from packaged rooftop units to split systems. Our in-house sheet metal shop fabricates custom ductwork, exhaust systems and hoods built to your building’s measurements, so we’re not waiting on stock parts that almost fit.
Heat pumps for homes in town and out
In town, a heat pump can replace both an aging furnace and an AC with one system. On larger lots toward Cottonwood and Happy Valley, if your home heats with propane, a heat pump or a dual-fuel system means fewer tank fills. If you’re not sure what you need, check if you need a heat pump replacement or see more about our heat pump services.
Maintenance that fits Anderson’s seasons
An AC tune-up in spring and a heating tune-up in fall keep systems ready for the two seasons that work them hardest. Gibson Club maintenance plans include two visits a year and priority service.

Common questions we get about HVAC in Anderson
Is Anderson on PG&E or a city utility?
PG&E. Anderson doesn’t run its own electric utility the way Redding and Shasta Lake do, so PG&E rates and programs apply.
How should I run my AC on a PG&E time-of-use plan?
On PG&E’s E-TOU-C plan, peak hours are 4–9 p.m. every day. Cool the house a few degrees below your normal setting before 4 p.m., then let the thermostat drift up a little until 9. A smart thermostat can do this automatically. Other PG&E plans have different peak hours, so check your bill.
Do you work on commercial buildings in Anderson?
Yes. We service and replace rooftop units and commercial split systems, and our sheet metal shop builds custom ductwork and exhaust.
Do you serve Cottonwood and Happy Valley?
Yes. Both are part of our regular service area, along with Igo and Ono.
